12th November 2015
I sat writing letters in a bird hide today. For centuries commentators have lamented the increasing speed of life; today however it is both speeding up and driven by the microchip. Our waking hours, if we let them, are consumed by technology. It was an enormous pleasure therefore to spend a quiet 3 hours on the Somerset Levels writing 2 letters with a pen inbetween watching birds or chatting to the infrequent flow of ornithologists. Amazing how different the flow of thought is through the pen rather than the keyboard.
