21st November 2015

It was like going back 20 years today to a previous life as a volunteer warden. Today was my first morning volunteering at Tyntesfield, a large National Trust property in North Somerset. I’d applied to be part of the front facing team, essentially meet and greet the visitors and help them begin their journey. As it happened though a dog had been found so it needed someone to head off into the estate and see if somone was out there desperately looking for their lost dog. Apparently I look ‘capable’ so with a radio in hand off I went and traversed the entire estate, on what was a fantastic day. Nothing better than tramping across glorious countryside for a ‘job’.
