2nd December 2015
The day has arrived. 22 years, 1 month and 2 days after arriving in the BBC's Natural History Unit, today is my very last day working in the World's most prestigious wildlife broadcaster. At lunchtime my colleague Tom left and it struck home this is the last time I'll have this view at work. Alone for a few minutes I sat taking in the view - unchanged from this morning, but everything had changed. Tomorrow I begin a new life. Exciting in many ways, but quite emotional to leave a department I have a huge passion for and its output. But life does move on, and when it does we should embrace the change.
